Alternate versions of Spider-Man

Other versions of Spider-Man and characters similar to him appear in alternate Marvel universes.

Ultimate Spider-Man

In "Ultimate Spider-Man", Peter is a high school student who is bitten by a spider during practice at the facility. The spider, unlike the original story, is not radioactive, but genetically modified by Osborn Industries. The themes, characters, environments have been updated to suit modern life, but the main idea remains intact. In this comic series, all the enemies and friends of Spider-Man were completely "altimized", that is, changed to fit the new comic: so, Otto Octavius (Doctor Octopus) worked for Norman Osborn (Green Goblin) and, together with Osborn, gained his abilities. The differences affected not only the history of the origin of unique abilities, but also them in general. In this comic, the Octopus, unlike the classic version, is able to telepathically control any kind of metal. The Green Goblin was also depicted differently - here he appears before the readers in the form of a huge green monster that can shoot fireballs from his hands. Kraven the Hunter is a showman who wants to kill Spider-Man in front of the whole country, he does not have any superpowers, but he knows how to hunt well. And Venom and Carnage in this universe are not alien symbiotes, but monsters created in the laboratory that cannot think sensibly.

In high school, Peter Parker had two true friends, Harry Osborn and Mary Jane Watson. After Peter gained his spider powers, he was able to stand up for Mary Jane against Flash Thompson. He assigns Peter a fight, in which Peter accidentally breaks Flash's arm. Because of this, the Flash family force the Parkers to pay for the treatment of the hand, but the amount was too high. Peter decides to make money by wrestling in a mask under the alias of Spider-Man. When Uncle Ben is killed by a mugger, Peter in costume finds the killer. He recognized the killer as a street thief he had met a couple of days before, when Peter had no intention of catching him. Soon after handing over the killer to the authorities, Peter decides to devote himself to fighting crime. After the death of Uncle Ben, the Parkers began to lack money and Peter decided to get a job. He tried to sell a photo of Spider-Man in the Daily Bugle, but the paper's editor-in-chief, Jay Jon Jameson, initially refused to pay for the photos. Luckily, the publisher was having problems with the website at the time, which Peter was able to resolve with ease by taking on the position of site administrator. Peter soon revealed his secret to Mary Jane, after which they started dating. Peter also meets Gwen Stacy, who also becomes his friend. Peter soon meets his enemy, the Green Goblin, and learns that it is Norman Osborn who knew Peter's secret. Peter also first meets Nick Fury, the head of S.H.I.E.L.D., who has been secretly following him. The Green Goblin then takes Mary Jane hostage. Spider-Man catches her falling off the Queensboro Bridge.

In the sequel "1602: New World" (1602: New World), he finally becomes Spider-Man. Later, when Peter's double life is exposed and Norman Osborn kills his lover Virginia Dare, he returns to Europe. Spider-Man 1602 appears in games as one of the alternate costumes for the Noir Spider in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, and Miguel O'Hara (Spider-Man 2099) in Edge of Time.

Spider-man: Noir

In an alternate New York City of 1933 during the Great Depression, Peter Parker is hired as an assistant to renowned journalist Ben Urich. Soon, Peter is bitten by a strange exotic spider, after which he sees the god of spiders, who supposedly endows him with spider superpowers. Peter's life changes forever when he learns that Urich is blackmailing the city's top mobster, businessman Norman Osborn, better known as the Goblin. Peter makes himself a costume out of the uniform of the pilot of the first world of the late uncle Ben and sets out to get revenge on Osborn and his gang for the murder of his uncle.

Spider-Man Noir bears no costume resemblance to the classic Spider-Man, although the costume was nearly identical in early sketches. Unlike the original, he cannot stick to surfaces, his web is organic, black in color, emitted from his own hands in the form of a web, which makes him unable to fly on the web.

In the game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, he is one of four spiders from parallel realities who must restore the Tablet of Order and Chaos. In this game, Madame Web gives Spider-Man the ability to stick to walls and emit webs just like a normal Spider-Man. The appearance of the character was changed at the request of the Marvel publishing house. The main antagonist, the Green Goblin, has also been changed to look like the Green Goblin from the Ultimate universe.

History

The first mission of John Jameson as an astronaut was unsuccessful: the capsule in which he was located left the Earth's orbit due to malfunctions in the control system that caused the loss of control over the ship. A young superhero, Spider-Man, who began his exploits just two weeks ago, managed to save Jameson by replacing the necessary parts of the control module, after which the ship with the capsule splashed down safely in the ocean. J. Jonah Jameson saw the saving of his son as a publicity stunt meant to belittle the accomplishments of the younger Jameson, and the incident sparked the very first curse against Spider-Man in the pages of the Daily Bugle.

Later, John Jameson again went into space, where he was again haunted by failure - he, presumably during a spacewalk, comes into contact with an unknown virus. After returning to Earth, a side effect of the virus was discovered - Jameson developed superhuman strength. Jason has been fitted with a special organic suit so he won't lose his powers until NASA scientists study the virus. When everyone believed that Spider-Man was involved in a bank robbery, J. Jonah Jameson persuaded his son to use his powers to promote himself on the Internet and thus become a folk hero by defeating Spider-Man. Jameson agreed, but the first meeting with Spider-Man ended in victory for the latter. When the older Jameson learned that Spider-Man was innocent, he tried to stop his son, who still continued to oppose the superhero, but the young Jameson was willing to make amends for his past defeat. When they clashed a second time, Spider-Man managed to neutralize the virus in Jameson's body by using prolonged exposure to electricity. When Jameson woke up, he lost his super-strength.

Some time later, Jameson went on an undercover mission to the moon, the reason for which is still classified information. While collecting lunar soil, he came across a sparkling red gem, very different from anything he had seen there. After the successful completion of the mission, Jameson felt a strange attraction, a desire to possess a unique gem. Jameson and his colleagues made an amulet out of it to wear around the neck, after which John Jameson put it on himself. The image of the Wolf was engraved on the amulet. On the first night of the full moon, Jameson turned into an insane Wolfman - an unusual mutant creature.

For months, Jameson has been trying to find a way to combat the fact that he turns three nights out of the month, finally acquiring a suit that doesn't let in any radiation so he can wear it during the moon. However, these attempts were in vain. In his native New York, in the run-up to five months from his first transformation, Jameson began to follow his father, instinctively seeking help. Jay John Jameson didn't believe it when he found out that the Wolf was his son, who took on the nickname "Wolf Man". Jonah then saw the pendant around the Wolfman's neck and only then recognized it as his son. Trying to save Jon's son, Jameson soon discovered something odd - even after getting rid of the amulet, Jameson cannot stop the monthly cycle of transformations. Subsequently, Spider-Man threw the amulet into the river, but the Wolf-Man began to hunt him.

Powers and abilities

John is an experienced pilot and experienced astronaut. He underwent special training in the army, along with special training for members of the Air Force. Proficient in hand-to-hand combat.

Transformed into the Wolfman, Jameson gained strong wolf instincts, the ability to grow claws on his arms and legs. Sharper senses allow him to track targets by scent and see in the dark. It also has a strong healing factor, allowing the most severe wounds to heal.
