Placenta suspension for injection

PLACENTA SUSPENSION FOR INJECTION (Suspensio Placentae pro injectionibus).

A suspension of finely ground cold-preserved human placenta in an isotonic sodium chloride solution.

Homogeneous (after shaking) suspension of reddish-brown color with a characteristic odor; pH 5.8 - 6.9. Sterilize at + 120 C for 1 hour.

Used as a biogenic stimulant for various diseases eyes (myopia, keratitis, corneal opacities, iritis, vitreous opacities) and other indications for the use of biogenic stimulants (see Aloe extract liquid for injection).

2 ml are injected under the skin (a 0.5% solution of novocaine is pre-administered) once every 7-10 days; per course 3 - 4 injections. In children, the dose is reduced according to age. The course of treatment can be repeated after 2 - 3 months.

Contraindicated in case of tuberculous eye diseases, scrofula, uncompensated glaucoma, severe cardiovascular diseases, severe kidney diseases, pregnancy under 6 months.

Release form: in ampoules of 2 ml in a package of 6 ampoules.

Storage: in a place protected from light.
