In fact, when it became roughly clear what was happening in the solar system, as well as theories appeared about what was happening in the rest of the universe, scientists were amazed: there were no planets inhabited by intelligent beings, like our Earth. To be more precise, they were not found, although they are trying hard to do so. Since it is not clear how aliens can live at all, they are most often equated in terms of humanity.

That is, they suggest that these creatures also live on a planet like Earth, in, so to speak, a half-oxygen-water world, where it is the liquid that plays the main role. The problem is that even if this is true, it is not possible to simply go in search of such planets - all that people have managed to do so far is to land on the moon in the last century. Even the expedition to Mars is being worked out very carefully and it is not yet known exactly when it will come true - its deadlines are constantly being pushed back.

Such flights are still too much fun, and the available jet engines are very limited. In particular, the movement, as for the distances of outer space, is slow. Beyond the limits solar system people will not fly out in a year, they will fly up to one Uranus for at least 11 years. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to implement, in fact, the verification of planets for the presence of intelligent civilizations there in life. In the solar system on nearby planets, this is done by special automatic ships, sending pictures and taking samples of rocks, if necessary.

So, for example, it was precisely determined that once, millions of years ago, there was life on Mars. Unfortunately, due to the massive attacks of asteroids, a significant piece of the planet broke off, because it lost most its atmosphere as a result of a decrease in gravity and could not hold liquid, except for glaciers at the poles. Otherwise, everything is based mostly on images taken from very powerful telescopes and rovers.

From time to time, some exoplanets are revealed - theoretically, similar to our Earth in terms of at least according to how far from the star they are, however, there is no confirmation of the hypotheses whether there can be life there. However, research is ongoing.

American ufologists, in particular, have assessed whether aliens live in our Galaxy - the Milky Way, and if they do, how many of them are there at all. Experts came to the conclusion that indeed they can exist, but they are extremely few, less than 1 percent. It was based on combining into one two statements of different scientists - Frank Drake and Enrico Fermi. The first developed a formula that was supposed to calculate how many aliens would want to communicate with us. It turned out that very, very much.

The physicist Fermi, in fact, in response to this, asked his own question, now known as the “Fermi paradox”: if there are really a lot of aliens, then why haven’t contacts been established with them yet? Everything is simple - firstly, not every inhabited planet is a sign of the presence of intelligent life on it, and, secondly, if this happens, then it is subject to many galactic cataclysms. And so it happened that there are actually very few aliens in the Milky Way. Our Galaxy is huge, and aliens can live there anywhere, in any corner of it. Moreover, the solar system is located almost on the very Periphery of the Milky Way. If there is such an extraterrestrial civilization somewhere, which is also looking for contacts with other civilizations, then perhaps it is closer to the center of the Galaxy and because of the huge distances it simply did not reach us?

Given the huge number of UFO sightings, it is logical to assume that there are some aliens and not very far away, since they allow themselves to fly in and catch the eye of earthlings. However, since they do not come into direct contact, they either communicate in such a way that people do not understand them, or they do not want to do this, considering us to be out of their mind. Accordingly, earthlings really have more chances that someday a race will arrive from afar, which, in terms of development, is like ours, and then there will already be a real contact. When exactly this will happen, experts do not undertake to predict yet. Obviously, it's not as fast as we'd like.

Some scientists generally suggest that in order for aliens to contact us, it is necessary to create a Dyson Sphere - such a huge shell around the Sun at a distance of about the same as from a star to the Earth. Actually, for the construction it will be necessary to actually “recycle” at least Venus and Mercury, if not other planets, and there is no absolute probability that the shell will hold. Preventing anything from falling on her would be extremely difficult. Nevertheless, such calculations are still underway, although it is not clear when this idea will be implemented.

HD 85512b

Australian astronomer Ragbir Bhatal, working in the SETI project (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence - the general name for projects and activities to search for extraterrestrial civilizations and possibly make contact with them), discovered sharp flashes resembling a laser action in the planet's area. On this basis, he claims that the planet can be inhabited, now this version is being tested.

Gliese 667Cc

Gliese 667 Cc was discovered at the Planetary Habitability Laboratory at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo. This is the second exoplanet around the star Gliese 667 C in the Gliese 667 triple system.
They found that the temperature regime of the planet is very close to the temperature regime of the Earth. Computer simulations show that the average temperature of the atmosphere here is about 27 degrees.

The planet receives about 90% of the energy that the Earth receives from the Sun and the greenhouse effect created is enough dense atmosphere, quite possibly provides comfortable conditions for the existence of life on the surface of the planet.

Kepler-22b
This is the first confirmed exoplanet found by the Kepler telescope. It was discovered by researchers from the Carnegie Institution. Kepler-22b orbits in the habitable zone of a sun-like star. It is known that its diameter is 2.4 times the diameter of the Earth, and the orbit passes not too close and not too far from the star, which makes it possible for liquid water to exist on its surface.

Astronomers have not yet made final conclusions about the composition of the planet. It could be a gas planet like Uranus and Neptune, or a rock-dominated super-Earth. It will be fashionable to draw more definite conclusions when astronomers more accurately determine the mass of the planet. Most likely, Kepler-22b is a cross between Neptune on the one hand and an oceanid (rocky planets like Earth, but with a much higher water content) on the other.

Kepler-22b is currently the smallest planet found in the habitable zone around a sun-like star. The distance to the star around which it orbits is 15% less than between the Earth and the Sun, while the year on Kepler-22b lasts only 289.9 days. The star emits about 25% less light, but due to the shorter distance between Kepler-22b and its Sun, moderate temperatures are present on the surface. The researchers believe that in the presence of a greenhouse effect similar to the Earth, Kepler-22b could be dominated by a mild temperature of 22 degrees. If the planet has no atmosphere, then the average temperature there should be around -11.

The Kepler telescope, which was launched to search for Earth-like planets, has found more than 2,300 exoplanet candidates around other stars, including 48 in habitable zones. Of these 48, Kepler-22b is the first to be confirmed by subsequent observations. Scientists have twice observed the passage of the planet around its star and three times observed from Earth as it passes in front of its sun.

HD 85512b

Using the HARPS (High Accuracy Radial velocity Planet Searcher) spectrograph, installed on the 3.6-meter telescope of the European Southern Observatory La Silla in Chile, scientists have discovered an exoplanet that could potentially be habitable. Researchers from Germany and Switzerland published an article about this in the journal Astronomy & Astrophysics.

The new exoplanet HD 85512b, located 36 light-years away in the constellation Parus, orbits an orange dwarf star with a mass of 0.69 solar masses. The planet makes a revolution around the star in 58.43 days, and its mass is about 3.6 Earth masses.

But the most interesting thing is that the planet is almost in the habitable zone, that is, at such a distance from the star at which it receives the necessary amount of stellar energy for the existence of liquid water on it. HD 85512b could be potentially habitable if its surface is more than 50% covered by clouds. In this case, so much heat will be reflected from the clouds that the conditions on the surface of the planet can be considered suitable for life.

Gliese 581 d

Orbiting a red dwarf, Gliese 581 d is in the planetary system of the star Gliese 581, located about 20 light-years from Earth in the constellation Libra. The mass of the planet is about seven times the mass of the Earth, and about twice its size. It was discovered by a group of astronomers from the Geneva Observatory. Computer simulations have shown that water oceans can exist on the surface of Gliese 581 d, and clouds and precipitation can exist in the atmosphere. Due to the different composition of the clouds, even on the illuminated side, a reddish dusk reigns.

At the same time, Gliese 581 d has a stable atmosphere, a comfortable temperature, and liquid water. This is the first discovered planet that revolves around another star and can support life, while being, in fact, in the neighborhood of the Earth. Gliese 581 d is the perfect candidate for the search for alien plant life. And if there are plants, then there may be animals that have adapted to strong gravity, a small amount of light and oxygen. We meet the same thought in Tsiolkovsky's pamphlet Unknown Reasonable Forces (1928): “It is very possible that living beings similar to us, only more perfect, can influence us. But decades later, consonant ideas began to appear in the works of a number of other Soviet scientists: Ivan Efremov, Matest Agrest, Vyacheslav Zaitsev.

A great resonance in the scientific circles of that time was caused by the article "Zoological Hypothesis", published in the July issue of the journal "Icarus" for 1973. The authoritative scientist J. Ball made a striking conclusion: “I believe that the only explanation for the apparent lack of interaction between “them” [aliens. - A.P.] and our hypothesis is that they deliberately avoid such interaction, leaving the area in which we live as a zoo. The zoo hypothesis predicts that we will never find them, since they do not want to be discovered and have the technical ability to hedge against this.

This idea was later reflected in the Search for Extraterrestrial Civilizations (EC) program adopted by the USSR Academy of Sciences in 1974: “Particular attention should be paid to the possibility of detecting EC probes located in the solar system or even in orbit around the Earth.”

Tovmasyan published a scientific report “On the possible existence of an extraterrestrial civilization colony in near-Earth space” (1990). In it, he draws attention to the following circumstance: “A closer examination shows that the EC colonies circulating around us may still remain hidden to us.

To detect such a colony, we must first of all see reflected from it sunlight. But they can paint their colony with non-reflective black paint and remain invisible. Additional coating with some, say, ferrite material that absorbs radio waves can make them invisible to our radars as well.
