How can a person help save the environment. Enviroment protection
March 11, 2014

AT last years The topic of protecting nature has become very popular and discussed. Planet Earth requires more careful handling. Every year, she keeps telling us more and more about it. To preserve nature, each of us must make every effort. We must appreciate and protect what nature has given us.

What other actions can we take to conserve nature?

First, it is necessary to pay attention to the way of life in which we live. All things that surround us should be made from natural materials. Through the widespread use of natural materials, we will be able to reduce the amount of harmful emissions and preserve the health of all mankind.

Here is a list of the necessary rules, following which we can contribute to the conservation of the environment.

So, when leaving the city, do not forget to take a few garbage bags with you. After the picnic is over, collect all rubbish, cigarette butts, bottles, plastic caps, and other small items. Surely, on the way you will come across a landfill, where you can throw away all the garbage.

You should understand for yourself and tell the children that the garbage left in the forest will not be removed by anyone except you. Therefore, just try not to leave garbage in forest belts.

Particular attention should be paid to the remains of a fire, cigarette butts. Remember that leaving a small cigarette butt unextinguished, you risk burning the entire forest. Therefore, do not be too lazy to extinguish the fire with water, and collect the cigarette butts in a garbage bag.

In the apartment, you should also take care of the conservation of nature. You ask how? Everything is very simple. First of all, you need to save money on utilities. Light, gas, water - all these are the resources of our planet. If each of us thinks about the economical use of these resources, the whole planet will benefit from this.

By going outside, we can also show our respect for the environment.

First of all, we are talking about motorists. If every car owner thinks about the harm that his vehicle causes by emitting exhaust gases, then he will come to the conclusion that it is not necessary to drive a car unnecessarily.

Just imagine how much exhaust gases are released every hour, every second around the world. Believe me, that cloud of gases that is emitted by all planes, cars, trains and agricultural machinery can not only poison, but also kill all life on the planet.

Therefore, to preserve the natural environment, start with your lifestyle. First of all, do not litter and use the planet's natural resources sparingly.

At San Francisco Airport, a ban on the sale of water in plastic bottles will come into force on August 20. It is reported by The Guardian. It is noted that this decision was made as part of the air harbor's plan to reduce the amount of garbage. In March, in the Seychelles, volunteers organized cleaning the coast from plastic bags, bottles and cans. According to the UN, about 13 million tons of plastic enters the ocean every year, killing more than 100,000 marine mammals and turtles. Source

The Mediterranean Sea is the most polluted in Europe, while the density of waste in it has doubled over the past 30 years, KazakhZerno.kz reports. “In the 1990s, there were about 100 wastes per square kilometer. By 2012, this figure had risen to around 200, and by 2015 it had peaked with nearly 300 waste per square kilometer,” said Olivia Gerigny, researcher at the French Research Institute for the Exploitation of the Sea, who is the author of a 20-year study on pollution mediterranean sea. This trend can be attributed to an increase in the production of plastics, as well as a more systematic identification of marine waste after the adoption…

Children today have more opportunities than ever before to help save our planet from pollution and waste. Thanks to the Internet, you have more resources at your fingertips than your parents your age could find in an entire library. Read this article and you will learn about some interesting and useful things you can do for our planet.

Steps

Houses

Help with recycling. Recycling programs are becoming more popular and accessible. They can be used to clean and recycle certain types of waste. Thus, materials can be reused, and manufacturers need to extract less natural resources. Help adults sort waste and recycle it regularly. .

    • Different areas have different recycling opportunities, so find out what can and can't be recycled in your area. Typically, at least paper, thin cardboard (such as milk cartons and shopping bags), thin metal (such as soda cans), and glass can be recycled. In some regions, it is possible to recycle thick cardboard, foam and other materials.
    • Organize recycling. Make sure bottles, glass jars and cans are clean enough. They don't have to be sparkling clean, but at the same time they don't have to be half full. Then sort the waste by type. If you have separate containers for each type of waste in your home, it will be easier for you to properly sort your waste for recycling. Even if you don't have these containers at home, you can still sort waste to get an idea of how much of each type of material your family uses every day.
    • Do it regularly. Depending on how big your family is, this may become your weekly task, or you may need to dedicate a little time to it every day.
      • If a special machine regularly picks up waste for recycling, do not forget to put the sorted waste outside in advance.
  1. Reduce your energy consumption. The energy that is used in your home for things like hot water, air conditioning, and electricity comes from various power plants that process a certain type of fuel to turn it into energy. Some fuels are cleaner than others, for example, hydroelectricity (energy from running water) is cleaner than coal-burning energy; but regardless of the method, extracting energy increases the load on environment. Do your part to protect the environment using as little energy as possible.

    • Turn off lights and electronic devices (such as TV and game console) when you are no longer using them. However, before you turn off the family computer, ask your parents - sometimes the computer must remain on for various reasons. During the day, open curtains and blinds and use natural light instead of electric light.
    • Keep the temperature in the house at a moderate level. If you have air conditioning at home, ask your parents to set it to at least 22 degrees Celsius in summer. If you have a thermostat at home, don't set it above 20 degrees in winter (blankets and warm clothes will keep you warm when the house is cool.) At night, set the thermostat to 13 degrees in rooms where no one sleeps.
      • If you live in a cold region, don't set your thermostat below 13 degrees in winter, otherwise the pipes may freeze at night.
    • Use less water. Take short showers instead of baths, and turn off the faucet when you're not using it, like brushing your teeth. Even little things like this count!
  2. Start reusing a lot of things. Ask your parents to buy 3-4 reusable shopping bags. They are inexpensive, but will help reduce the amount of paper or plastic bags you bring home from the grocery store. As for your personal belongings, start using a reusable lunch box at school if you haven't already. They also look cooler than paper bags. Also ask for a refillable drink bottle. A bottle made of metal or durable plastic is great.

    • Be sure to rinse and launder reusable bags and shopping bags about once a week to keep them from getting dirty and greasy. Quickly rub them in the sink with a rag or sponge and leave them on the dish dryer for a couple of hours.
    • Use waste plastic bags as trash bags in the bathroom or in your room. They fit perfectly into small waste baskets, and thus there is no need to buy special plastic waste bags.
    • When you choose a plastic water bottle, make sure it's made without BPA (Bisphenol A). Then it can be used repeatedly. BPA plastic bottles are not safe to use for long periods of time.

    In the garden

    1. Plant trees. Talk to your parents about the benefits of planting trees. Deciduous trees planted near windows provide cool shade in summer when their leaves are green; in winter, their leaves fall, letting more light through the windows. In any case, this will help to reduce energy costs. And any kind of wood perfectly removes pollution by absorbing carbon dioxide and converting it into fresh oxygen that we breathe.

      • Together with your parents, consult with a specialist to select trees that will grow to a certain height in your climate zone without causing problems in the garden. There are suitable trees for almost any desired height and for any climate.
      • Be sure to get tree care instructions and water it regularly after planting. Take care of the seedling, and by the time you grow up, you will have a beautiful strong tree that has grown with you.
    2. Mow your lawn less often. Some adults are very image-conscious and won't let you do it on your front lawn, but most of them shouldn't mind having a backyard. Find out how often the lawn is mowed in winter and summer, and start doing it about a week less often. Gas-powered lawnmowers are very polluting, so the less you mow your lawn, the less smog gets into the air. It will also help save on the cost of gasoline.

      • Offer to mow the lawn in exchange for permission to do it less often. In any case, this is a useful skill: when you grow up a little, sometimes you can make good money mowing other people's lawns.
      • If you have a power lawn mower at home, you don't have to worry about mowing your lawn less frequently, as they don't produce any pollution. Of course, they are much more difficult to work with than gas lawn mowers!
    3. Water your lawn less. This can significantly reduce the overall pressure that your city or locality has on the environment, especially in summer. Some cities even require homeowners not to water their lawns during the summer months for this very reason. Of course, the disadvantage of this approach is that by the end of summer the lawn can turn brown and dry. On the other hand, you have an excellent explanation for this.

      • In winter, most lawns do not need watering at all. If your family waters the lawn all year round, at least ask them to stop doing it in the winter.
    4. Use environmentally friendly chemicals. There are many fertilizers, herbicides (weed control agents) and pesticides (pest control agents) on the market that help to preserve the beauty of the garden; however, when used regularly over a long period of time, some of them are harmful to the environment. Try to find out what chemicals your family uses, then search the internet for "green" alternatives that don't cause as much damage to the environment. Show them to your parents and ask them to switch to them.

Run your lawn a little. Herbicides are extremely often used on the lawn to get rid of unsightly weeds. What would you prefer: a lawn with a couple of dandelions or a lawn covered in chemicals? Point this out to your parents and ask them to choose weeding, even if the lawn ends up looking a little less immaculate.

Pull out weeds instead of spraying chemicals. Some people use herbicides to control weeds in their garden or flower bed. Since the earth is softer there, there is no need for chemicals. Take gardening gloves, a hoe and a garden shovel, and pull out the weeds by hand every weekend. It's a good opportunity to spend time outdoors with the family, and it's much cleaner and safer than herbicides.

Introduce beneficial insects into your garden. Along with insect pests (such as aphids), there are other insects that feast on pests. In some gardening stores you can order such insects, for example, lacewings (which love to eat aphids and also look beautiful). Rely on natural remedies and you'll need to use pesticides much less often.

      • Leave beneficial insects where you found them. In many cases, your garden already has guardian insects. For example, garden spiders eat all kinds of pests, and at the same time they are absolutely safe for your plants. When you find such insects, do not get rid of them, let them help you.

    Family and school projects

    1. Take out the park. Gather a group of friends or choose a day when your whole family can go to a nearby park in the morning. Grab a few large trash bags and gardening gloves. Start in the parking lot and walk along each path in the park, picking up any rubbish you can find. In a couple of hours your park will be immaculately clean!

      • If you see garbage not on the path, do not hesitate - go and collect it. If it's hard to reach, find a branch and pull it up.
      • When you read this, it may not look like something exciting, but in fact it is a wonderful experience. You may even enjoy it so much that you want to do it on a regular basis and clean the park again once or twice a year.
    2. Join a larger cleaning operation. If you ask the teachers and watch the local news, you may very well know that there are other groups of people who are doing cleanup operations like your park cleanup project. In most cases, these people are happy when children and families join them. In this way, you can participate in the cleaning of the beach, campsite or mountain trail. Being part of a larger movement is very inspiring.

    3. Join other volunteer groups. Do you enjoy planting trees, clearing trails, or just spreading the word about environmental change there may well be a local group in your hometown that shares your interests. Reach out to them and ask how you can help. If there is no such group, why not talk to the parents or the school about creating one yourself? After all, you can't be too young to change the world for the better.

      • If your friends share your interests, have them sign a statement for the headmaster. If the director knows that many people are interested in the project, he is more likely to consider your proposal.
      • One program that many schools may be using, but few schools actually use, is the composting program. Compost helps reduce waste. Composting separates food waste and garden debris, which then decompose and turn into soil. With enough interest, your school's composting program can be a big success, so start spreading the word and build support among your classmates and their parents.

How to protect nature?

Everyone can help nature! Tomorrow will be too late, so today, now, each of us should ask ourselves how to help nature. The result depends on the contribution of everyone.

There are many ways that we have collected in this section called "Protect Nature".

This mainly applies to everyday life.

1. Purchase environmentally friendly products

The market for organic products began to develop actively about two decades ago. Gradually, organic products are becoming an increasingly popular alternative to the consumption of environmentally unsafe, harmful products. Eco-production is actively supported by the government different countries For example, already 32 countries have approved standards for environmentally friendly products, 9 countries are implementing standardization, and 15 are developing standards.

The main principles of environmentally friendly products are that they:
- do not contain genetically modified ingredients.
- do not contain ingredients grown using pesticides, herbicides, pesticides and artificial fertilizers.
- do not contain artificial preservatives, dyes and flavoring additives.
- environmentally friendly products must have special license symbols "Organica" on the packaging.

What can you do?

By purchasing eco-products, you improve your health, increase immunity, and also help your country, as eco-production helps strengthen the domestic market, increase exports and help solve economic and environmental problems.

2. Refuse plastic bags and bottles

Plastic is one of those materials that practically do not decompose over time, and in the process of burning they release very toxic substances that are hazardous to health, which subsequently cannot be removed from the body. Therefore, plastic recycling receives not only in the field of environmental protection, but also due to the shortage of polymer raw materials. At the moment, there are so many plastic household items and they have become so firmly established in our lives that we have to think about whether they are safe for human health and longevity. Should we refuse to use them, dispose of them in a special way, or just not think about what happens after they become obsolete?

What can you do?

  • Hand over plastic containers to specialized machines and receive a reward for this
  • Stop using plastic bags

3. Dispose of garbage separately

With the help of recycling, you can not only save money, but also help nature. Everyone knows that glass is made from sand, which is mined in quarries.

To get the sand, they cut down the forest from the green plot of land and rip off the soil. The cut down forest is used to create paper at the price of 1 tree - 60 kg of paper.

And after use, we throw it all into the trash can without hesitation.

What can you do?

Recycling is a great way to help nature.
What can be donated:

  • non-ferrous metal;
  • glass;
  • paper;
  • toxic waste;
  • cans.

4. Show respect for the forest

The need for a forest is determined by its functions, such as:

  • regulation of oxygen balance and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere
  • regulation of the water regime of the forested and adjacent territory,
  • ensuring the possibility of preserving most of the biological and ecosystem diversity of the Earth,
  • preservation of aesthetically valuable natural landscapes, and much more.

What can you do?

  • Always clean up your trash after picnics
  • Be careful with fire

5. Do not pour water in vain

The existing saying “There is enough water for everyone” has long been outdated. Even in high-water regions of the Earth, there is a shortage of water. Water is used not only for household needs, such as washing dishes, washing, cooking, but also for the manufacture of thousands of items that a person simply cannot do without. The entire population of Russia drinks 11 million tons per day, or about the same number of cubic meters of water.

Introduction

Human activity over the past 10 - 20 millennia has manifested itself in almost the entire territory globe. But increasingly, any human activity is becoming the main source of environmental pollution.

Relevance of this work is that I will try to find out how you can protect nature.

Target : to identify the factors of human influence on the environment.

Tasks:

    Determine the factors of human influence on the environment;

    To study the factors of human influence on the environment;

Analyze the features of human impact on the environment.

All processes in the biosphere are interconnected. Mankind is only a small part of the biosphere, and man is only one of the species organic life- a reasonable person. Reason singled out man from the animal world and gave him great power. Man has for centuries tried not to adapt to natural environment but to make it comfortable for its existence. Now we have realized that any human activity has an impact on the environment, and environmental degradation is dangerous for all living beings, including humans.

Main part

    How to protect nature?

In order to protect nature, a person must first of all think about it, and understand what she needs and what she will have to give up, what needs to be replaced, what should be refrained from, but a person will not be able to refuse the benefits to which he is accustomed, for example, a car, some people they can no longer imagine their life without it, but they should! There are few places left on Earth that have not been touched by man, I respect those people who will preserve nature by creating reserves for rare animals that restore the animal population. So it's early most nature, we can no longer restore because it is no longer in most of man. Gotta love nature. We all live in the countryside, the land is rented by peasant farms, which, in turn, must take care of the state of the land, the environment.

2. Instruction

    1. natural material

Start with everyday life and pay attention to the materials from which the things around you are made. Give preference to natural materials. By doing this, you will not only encourage manufacturers of high-quality goods that decompose more easily and do not require thousands of years from nature for their own processing - you will also save your health and the health of your loved ones.

    1. Garbage in a bag

Take care of yourself when you go out into nature. Picnics, barbecues and open-air parties are great, but when you leave your "parking lot", take care of the nature that has made you feel so welcome. Collect the garbage in a bag, do not leave anything - not a plastic bottle cap, not a glass, not a cigarette butt. your plastic bottle nature will not be able to absorb and put life into circulation. Take away unnecessary containers and throw them in a landfill: it is better to collect garbage in one place and decide what to do with it than to scatter it throughout the forest, where no one will find it and clean it up. A shard of a glass bottle or a smoldering cigarette butt is even worse: they can cause a forest fire, and this is the inevitable death of people and animals, scorched spaces where nothing can grow for a long time, atmospheric pollution and spoiled summer.

    1. Saving

You can take care of nature day after day, without making much effort and sacrificing a little. Try to save on communal amenities. The energy that is used in your home for things like hot water, electricity, is produced in various power plants that process a certain type of fuel to turn it into energy. Some fuels are cleaner than others, for example, hydroelectricity (energy from running water) is cleaner than coal-burning energy; but regardless of the method, extracting energy increases the burden on the environment. Do your part to protect the environment using as little energy as possible.

Turn off lights and electronic devices (such as TV and game console) when you are no longer using them.Make the most of daylight hours, purchase energy-saving lamps - your life will not change dramatically from the elementary measures taken.During the day, open curtains and blinds and use natural light instead of electric light.

2.4 Rational use

Pay special attention to plastic bags that you take with you to work, to a picnic, on the road. They can be used much more rationally, for example, instead of buying garbage bags separately, put garbage in grocery bags. It will be easier and cheaper, and most importantly, better for nature, because instead of two non-decomposing packages, only one will fall to its heavy share.

Conclusion

In the course of the work done, I collected a lot of information about the human impact on the environment. It was not possible to do all the work on my own, I had to resort to the help of Internet resources. As a result, I managed to find out what are the factors of human influence on the environment:

1. Fertilize the soil and do not burn garbage.

2. Do not throw garbage in the forest.

3. Do not pick flowers.

4. Do not break branches of trees and bushes.

5. Use water sparingly.

6. Plant trees and flowers.

And if we treat nature with care as a whole, we will live in harmony with nature. After all, the way we behave now in our world and in our time will affect our future.

Remember people the earth is our common home!
